Jeremy Brading - Whole Time Parish Priest
Fr Jeremy Brading was appointed in May 2012. Jeremy is married to Angharad. They have two children and as a family they are ruled by two cats, Max and Lucy. They also have a tank of tropical fish.
Jeremy enjoys listening to music -anything from Pink Floyd to J S Bach -(ideally though not at the same time). He likes gardening, DIY and after an important birthday, lost the battle with the sofa and has recently taken up cycling. At the start of August 2014, Jeremy took part in the Christian Aid sponsored cycle ride from Guildford Cathedral to Weymouth (130 miles).
After ordination, Jeremy enjoyed ten years of ministry in the Diocese of Manchester. A fantastic and enjoyable curacy, was followed by 7 years of challenging ministry, first as a Team Vicar in the Salford inner city and then as a Priest-in-Charge on the edge of Bolton. Looking back on this ministry Jeremy says that though he found it pretty tough, he is thankful that it exposed him to a wide variety of ministerial issues, which have helped him to appreciate the absolute need to trust God alone.
